The Natural Oil and Gas Suppliers Association of Nigeria (NOGASA) on Sunday paid tribute to Malam Abba Kyari, the late Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, who died on Friday.

In a statement issued in Abuja, the National President of NOGASA, Mr Benneth Korie, said the late chief of staff would always be remembered as a “national gem”.

“The entire leadership and members of NOGASA commiserate with President Buhari over the demise of Malam Kyari, who died on Friday April 17.

”NOGASA joins Nigerians across the world in mourning the loss of a rare national gem and commiserates with his family and the Federal Government.

“We pray that the Almighty Allah grants his family the fortitude to bear this loss; may the soul of our dearly departed Abba Kyari rest in eternal peace,” Korie said.

He said it is on record that Kyari played a pivotal role in the affairs of government until his demise.

NAN reports that Kyari was first appointed as Chief of Staff to the President in August 2015, and was reappointed in 2019 by Buhari.
